A Framework for Games
By David Bond

A programme of games for progressive development throughout the primary school. Curriculum units of work and lesson plans for the primary teacher, together with a practical introduction to the essential theory and concepts of Games teaching.

Adult games are highly complex and sophisticated and are played on large fields and courts. Many of the rules and tactics are difficult to understand and in the major invasion games the number of players tends to add to the complexity.

A 'Framework for Games' is concerned with the way children are aimed towards a future understanding and appreciation of participation in games.

Topics include: Awareness of Space, Multi-Games Skills, Multi-Games Development, Invasion Games, Striking & Fielding Games.
