Yoga in the Primary School
By Dory Walker

The intention of this pack is to act as a guide to teachers, offering suggestions and ideas to aid creative and fun education in the classroom.

Within the school environment simple yoga postures can be put together to form fun games, developing a child's balance, concentration and imagination while allowing them to use their energy more effectively.

Sound in the form of chanting has the ability to unify a group. It allows the child to feel integral in their surroundings and boosts self-confidence.

The integration of yoga techniques into the classroom is a wonderful complement to formal education.
