This is a topic-centred teaching pack designed for use throughout the primary
school, by non-specialist teachers and with classes of all ages and both sexes.
The pack is based around a theme chosen and developed by an ethnic dance
teaching specialist. Music, dance and dance-drama possibilities are explored
along with visual stimulus and artistic styles.
A taste of life in West Africa created by Edith Proctor, together with the authentic Ghanaian rhythm of Thomas Iwediebo. The story and dance development programme are woven around the story of a Ghanaian morning in a village. The pack includes a dance development plan, two CD's, teacher cue cards and a large full colour wall poster. |
