Bullying is a unfortunate part of today's society in school. This resource pack is intended for use at Key Stage 2 and concentrates upon four children's views represented through the medium of song and music. The class are encouraged to explore beyond the face value of each individual to try and understand the effects and reasoning behind bullying and the bully's mentality. Through the strategies offered by drama and movement children resolve bullying situations by exploring how best to deal with them. Offering the children a variety of strategies they can use to deal with bullying allows the children to explore consequences and feelings in a safe secure atmosphere. This in turn equips them with some of the skills they need to engage in to enter uncertain situations in a mature and knowledgeable way. These plans following the PODS Assessment system and are National Curriculum referenced. Set out in using both medium term plans and individual lesson plans the children listen and interact with songs and music as a stimulus to learning. Each lesson is supported by word sheets, illustrated with pictures to support children in their learning
