Chance to Dance for Foundation Stage

By Claire Morris and Howard Haigh

The Chance to Dance for Foundation Stage dance-pack provides ideas for exploring dance through the twin themes of Work and Play - the two themes are intended to contrast and compliment one another:

Contrast – Work Ideas are serious and at times fast paced, whereas the Play Ideas are more light-hearted and fun.
Compliment – The two themes when used consecutively create a well-rounded term of dance with a wide range of movement development.

The pack contains twelve tracks of original compositions on a superb CD of melody and rhythm inspired from traditional music forms from all around the world + Lesson handbook by Claire Morris.

Instrumentation, percussion, and composition are by Howard Haigh. The accompanying lesson plans in each pack have been written by Clair Morris, an experienced dance specialist who has worked for companies such as the Rambert Dance Company and LUDUS Dance, and has years of experience of the enjoyment, the potential and the problems of delivering dance in schools with all ages, abilities and sexes of child and teacher.
